Egremont’s Future

Josh MacAlister MP, Janette Tear and Cllr Sam Pollen

Egremont is a lovely town with a bright future – we want to hear your ideas about how to make it even better!

Work is already underway through the Town Team on a £3 million investment to bring the old Red Lion site back into use as a public space, Florence Arts Centre has ambitious plans to expand, work will soon begin on the new Aldi and we’re getting more police officers on the beat to make our town safer. It is a good start, but there is more to do.

Cllr Sam Pollen and I are working with Cumberland Council and the NDA Group on a plan to deliver targeted investment in the towns nearest to Sellafield over the next decade and we want to hear your thoughts on the things you’d like to see improved in Egremont in the coming years.
