More people in West Cumbria die from alchohol, drugs or suicide than almost anywhere else in the country.
We need help, but mental health services have suffered under the Tories since 2010, with many people not able to get the support they need.
If I’m elected as your MP I’ll deliver Labour’s plan to fix our broken mental health service:
8,500 more mental health professionals, slashing waits for mental health treatment and hospital appointments
Mental health support for children in every school
Open access children and young people’s mental health hubs in every community
But I want the current government to act now to fix mental health services.
