Markus Campbell-Savours MP and I have secured long-term investment of £20 million – £2 million per year over ten years – for Flimby, Maryport and Broughton Moor through Labour’s Pride in Place programme.
Markus will lead this work as the MP for Maryport and Broughton Moor, but I’ll be working closely with him and the community in Flimby to ensure our village gets its share of the funding.
This investment will make a real difference. It will:
- Support projects that create jobs and opportunities locally
- Improve community facilities, sports clubs, youth services and green spaces
- Strengthen the organisations and groups that bring our community together
