Improving access to Parton station

Left to right: Cllr Jayne Robb, Josh MacAlister MP, Cllr Gillian Troughton and representatives from Northern and Network Rail at Parton station discussing accessibility issues.

I’m working on a bid to the Government to make Parton station accessible and I need your help.

I’ve already secured funding from NWS for the Parish Council to commission a feasibility study, which is the first step.

The next step is demonstrating strong community support. Please add your name to my campaign below and we’ll be in touch as we progress with the development of a bid.

We’ve already secured a new bus service for Parton and I’m working with Cumberland Council to tackle flooding concerns – with a bid soon to go to government for the next stage of that work – and with National Highways to get a new pedestrian crossing over the A595.
